The structure and features of plunger stop valves

The plunger stop valve is composed of parts such as the valve body, valve cover, valve stem, plunger, guide, sealing ring and handwheel. When the handwheel rotates, it drives the plunger to reciprocate up and down in the guide sleeve through the valve stem, enabling the inclined conical surface at the end of the plunger and the conical surface of the valve seat to complete the opening and closing functions of the valve. In the valve, an interference fit is adopted between the plunger and the sealing ring. By adjusting the preload of the middle flange bolts, the lateral force generated by the compression of the sealing ring is sealed with the outer circle of the plunger on the middle hole surface of the valve body, thus ensuring the sealing performance of the valve. Internal leakage has been completely eliminated. As the sealing ring adopts a new type of non-toxic sealing material with strong resilience and high wear resistance, the sealing is reliable and durable, thereby increasing the service life of the valve. The plunger stop valve, combining the leak-proof advantage of the plunger valve with the fast opening and closing feature of the stop valve, has become a new product with a novel structure and wide application. Its superiority far exceeds that of ordinary stop valves.

The application scope of plunger stop valves

The design and manufacture of valves shall comply with the provisions of GBl2235 "Flanged Connected Steel Stop Valves and Lift Check Valves".

The structural length of the valve is in accordance with the series dimensions of GBl2221 "Length of Metal Valves with Flange Connections". The structural length of the API valve core is selected in accordance with the relevant dimensions of ANSI 16110-86.

The dimensions of the valve connection flange shall be selected in accordance with the dimensions stipulated in HGJl44-76-91 "Steel Pipe Flanges, Gaskets and Fasteners" and HG standards.

Valve inspection and testing shall comply with the requirements of GB/T13927 "Testing and Inspection of Valves" and API 598 "Testing and Inspection of Valves".

Installation and maintenance of plunger stop valves

All plunger stop valves produced by Shanghai Yifan Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. undergo strict pressure testing and acceptance before leaving the factory. When in use, just clean the exterior and the cavity thoroughly. There is no need to disassemble, clean or replace it. The plunger stop valve can be installed at any position. The direction of medium flow is indicated by the arrow on the valve body. After a period of use, if the sealing ring is worn or leaking, the valve must be closed first, and then the middle flange bolts should be evenly and slightly tightened until leakage occurs. It is not advisable to blindly tighten the bolts too much. When replacing at the same time, care should be taken to prevent cracks and scratches on the surface of the plunger and the newly installed sealing ring.
